Looking for an active and fun school trip? Come School Skating at the Vechtsebanen! A visit to our ice rink is the perfect combination of sport, fun, and shared experiences. Whether the students are on skates for the first time or already have experience, everyone can enjoy an unforgettable day on the ice.

During school skating, students can burn off energy on the ice rink and have fun together. Would you like to make the visit even more special? Then choose a package with hot chocolate and a tasty hot snack to warm up in between.

Good to Know

• School skating is possible outside of school holidays in the Central/North region from Monday to Friday.
• For school skating, we have special time slots: 09:00-12:15 and 12:30-16:00.
• A minimum of one supervisor on the ice is required for every 30 students. As a supervisor, you are responsible for the students.
• Are you coming with more than 500 students? Then it is possible to reserve the entire ice rink exclusively for your school.
• For skate rental, we work with Waterman SportsIf you are coming with a large group, you can contact them directly for skate rental.
• We have a 400-meter track and an indoor rink. Access to the indoor rink is not included with a school skating ticket. If you would like to reserve this for an additional fee, please contact info@vechtsebanen.nl

Arrangements and rates

For every 30 students, one chaperone receives free admission. Additional chaperones are very welcome and are included in the student rate.

Clinics & workshops

Do you want to get more out of the visit? Expand the school skating experience with a clinic or workshop. Students can be introduced to various disciplines, such as speed skating, ice hockey, figure skating, or fun curling. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, they learn the basics of the sport in a fun and active way.
